The Italian company Bormioli Luigi was founded by engineer Luigi Bormioli in 1946 and initially specialized in producing glass for the perfume industry. In the early 1970s, the company's technical staff created a revolutionary technology that allowed for the industrial production of glasses and tumblers with a quality previously achievable only by hand. This innovation gave rise to a new market segment of tableware: products featuring high quality and refined design. The glasses from the Tentazioni series are designed to preserve the entire aromatic structure of the wine while softening the volatile alcohol component. This allows the aromas to reveal themselves in all their beauty, enhancing the tasting experience. The glass features a rounded shape to create a unique aromatic "ring" effect, preventing interference between the volatile alcohol and the wine's aromas. And that's not all. The narrow upper part of the glass retains aromatic molecules in the free space for a long time, without releasing them. This enhances the fruity taste of the wine, while acidic and bitter components are minimized. The shape and size of Tentazioni glasses were found experimentally.
