Brazil Arara Azul coffee drips
Brazil Arara Azul coffee drips are a refined concentrated coffee product created from specialty coffee beans originating from the Alta Mogiana micro-region in southeastern Minas Gerais - one of Brazil's leading coffee regions, which accounts for half of the country's total production.
The Alta Mogiana territory features a unique tropical climate with average temperatures of 21°C in summer and 17°C in winter. Coffee plantations are located at altitudes between 800 and 1000 meters above sea level, creating ideal conditions for growing high-quality coffee. The region holds the prestigious Denomination of Origin status, which guarantees that coffee labeled Alta Mogiana reflects exceptional quality and a distinctive flavor profile characterized by pronounced sweetness with notes of caramel and chocolate, complemented by hints of fruits and nuts.
The name "Mogiana" derives from the railway system established in 1883, which provided important transportation links for coffee producers and contributed to the industry's growth in the region. Today, the development of specialty coffee in the region is supported by the Alta Mogiana Specialty Coffee organization, which advises producers on bean quality and proper agricultural practices, while also protecting the identity of the local product.
Brazil Arara Azul coffee drips were processed at the Arara Azul station, a partner of the COCAPIL cooperative. COCAPIL was founded in 2001 by Laércio Faleiros together with other local producers and unites small and medium-sized specialty coffee producers whose plantations are located between the Alta Mogiana and Sul de Minas regions. The cooperative has made a significant contribution to the development of the region and specialty coffee production.
