The black-smoked ceramic technique is truly unique: rooted in ancient wood-fired kiln traditions, it creates the deep, distinctive finish that makes each piece one of a kind. Every item is shaped by hand, holding within it the mastery, patience, and devotion of the craftsman. And importantly, it is a 100% eco-friendly product.

The collaboration between Guculiya and barware brand Barta gave birth to the “Pogar” glass.

Its creation begins with carefully chosen brass — a noble metal that forms the base of the conical stem. Using a special mold, the craftsman draws and shapes the metal into an elegant structure that perfectly complements the ceramic bowl.

Next comes the character. Embossed logos of Barta and Guculiya are applied to the stem. Then — refinement: polishing that gives the metal its smoothness and delicate shine.
The following stage is embellishment. A layer of nickel is applied, adding a subtle metallic sheen while protecting the glass from environmental effects.

The final touch — titanium nitride coating, giving the “Pogar” its rich golden hue and striking elegance.

It may seem like a piece meant for exclusive collections only. But in reality, Guculiya ceramics are fully functional and created for everyday use. Effortlessly, they adorn any home or bar collection and remain beautiful and symbolic for many years.
